Shiny Happy People by R.E.M. is the Peace Song of the Day for April 19th.

Shiny Happy People is another one of those songs that made the Peace Song of the Day list, even though it says nothing about peace or war. Though, it does say “love”, and isn’t that the solution?

Also, if you listen to this song (or even better yet, sing it), you will feel the peace moving around, above, and through you!

If you are feeling silly, there is even a satire lyric. See the very funny video below for a Sesame Street version of the song: “Furry Happy Monsters“. It really makes you want to hop. And, watching it will give children or adults the happy giggles.
